About

Creative Cabal was founded in 2015 by Souris Hong and Todd Roberts, two executives with award-winning histories in the entertainment, music, and visual arts industries. We are a minority-owned, woman-led visual artist advisory and creative agency in Los Angeles. We approach our creative projects with “joy and rigor” in the spirit of Charles and Ray Eames’s adventurous approach to life and work.

Souris Hong, Founder

Souris co-founded Creative Cabal, an ALAANA-owned, woman-led visual artist advisory and creative agency based in Los Angeles. She also founded frieNDA, an invitation-only, global network of 150 creative thinkers and tinkerers dedicated to sharing ideas and enriching members’ and their respective communities’ lives.

A pioneer of the adult coloring book trend, she’s the New York Times bestselling author of Outside the Lines: An Artists’ Coloring Book for Giant Imaginations, which Vanity Fair declared 2013’s ‘it’ gift. Following this success, I authored Outside the Lines Too: An Inspired and Inventive Coloring.

As a senior executive at Entertainment Media Ventures, Souris worked on the groundbreaking live-action digital 3D feature film “U2 3D,” one of the highest-grossing concert films ever. She also helped launch MOCAtv, the first dedicated art channel on YouTube’s Original Channels, and was an Associate Producer for “Fishing Without Nets,” a U.S. Dramatic Directing Award winner at Sundance 2014.

An amateur photographer, Souris’ snapshots have been displayed at the Nature Lab at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and the “House & Home” exhibition at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., and published in “Revisionaries, A Decade of Art in Tokion” and Ryan McGinness’s “Installationview.”

She serves on the Venice Beach NeueHouse founder committee and the MULTI and ACTION Project boards and volunteer as a Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture grant panelist. She has been a member of numerous arts and culture committees, including the Los Angeles Forum of Architecture and Urban Design, Art for Peace, Change in the Air, The Other Art Fair, and Hammer K.A.M.P.

Souris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Boston University.
